The Nave is that area of the Catholic Church where the faithful gather for the Holy Mass. The pews are set to face the Sanctuary and all objects in and around the Nave help create a spiritual ambience to enhance the experience of the Holy Mass. In the early church, the Nave was only for those in full communion with the church and others were allowed to listen to the Holy Mass from the Narthex.
