How much is enough?
Seriously, when we will be sick of the world we live in, enough to contribute to the mission Jesus left us too? Furthermore, the promised, found in Matthew 24:14 is simple, when the gospel has been spread to the entire world, then the end will come. Yes God can use various other methods to do this, but He has chosen us to deliver to the world around us the incredible message of grace, forgiveness, salvation, and unconditional love.
This past weekend in Dayton and El Paso senseless acts of violence took the lives of 30+ people. We say we will pray, we mourn their loss, but inevitably we slide right back into the busy routine of life, occupied with things which in the light of eternity do no matter much at all. How much longer will we continue to do so?
I challenge each of us to examine our walk with God, and to fully experiencing the love God has for us, and living out the mission He has called us too. I don’t want to stay in this world one more day longer than needed, but I also want to see the maximum number of people joining us for eternity, knowing our lives made the difference, and the passion we have for sharing the message is what they needed most.

KSCS News!
Open House: We will be having a school open house this Sunday evening, August 11th, from 5P - 7P. Please invite all families you know, with school-age children, to attend and get a glimpse of what is in store for the upcoming school year.
Renovation: Our renovation is making great progress! The suspended ceilings are being installed, floor tile being put down, and other items slowly being transformed within the school. We will be pushing it, and probably be complete the week before school starts, but we will be done, and ready for a new school year in a beautiful facility!
Capital Campaign: We have an overall goal of $175,000, and as of today we have $56,000+ received in gifts, $21,500 in pledges, and a committed of $25,000 on the way in the net couple weeks, giving us over $100,000+ to our campaign. We are so thankful for all the gifts received, and we know the investment in our young people will be well worth the effort put forth, and the generosity of so many.
If you would like to continue to give to our campaign, benefitting the school, and the church, please mark your tithe envelope “KSCS Campaign”, or go online and place the gift under “KSCS Campaign”. Your gift matters, and the lives of our students will prove it.
Enrollment: We have prayerfully set a goal for 45 students in our school for the upcoming year. Would you be willing to add this matter to your daily prayer list? We believe God can lead those who need to be in our school, to us. Our principal has been actively working with families and students, sharing the new vision of our school and what God is doing with our future. If you would pray for us to connect with possible students, I am sure the Holy Spirit will bring those connections between potential students, our faculty, and our school to fruition.
Work Party: Please stand-by over the next couple weeks for a work party to put many things back in the school, and clear out the room needed in the church for our upper grade classroom. All would be helpful in this endeavor!

Jody and I will be traveling to Israel on August 21st, and returning September 4th. However, this is a working trip and will be extensive. I will be taking the Sabbath prior, and the Sabbath after, our trip, to spend time with family before we leave, and immediately after we return. We will have great speakers in place, and you will be missed. To that end, I will only be preaching this Sabbath, and the next Sabbath, before leaving for our trip. Your prayers while we travel would be appreciated.
