Looking for Volunteers, 9:30-noon on September Saturdays: 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th at the new pantry location the Shiloh Pentecostal Church located at 139 Davenport St., Somerville. We’ll distribute food to folks who aren’t able to make it to the food bank during the week. Rocket Sunday - September 8!
St. Mark's Sunday School starts back up in the fall with a special rocket building lesson on Sunday, September 8th. We will launch the rockets the following Sunday at the St. Mark's Picnic on September 15th at Harry Dunham Park.Click here for info on building, painting and launching!A Note from the Flower Guild
Our St Mark’s flower guild would love to add a few new members to our team!The duties are not tough: 1) Once each month or so, each member has an assigned Saturday to stop in and arrange a memorial if we have one, and take a moment to water the indoor and outdoor pots. 2) We work together for a couple of hours before Easter and Christmas to beautify St. Mark’s. We will have a work session every Saturday morning, 9:30-noon, weather permitting, including this Saturday, 8/17.The following week's schedule is as follows

We would love to have our teens and young adults join in!
Remember to wear gloves, sunscreen and bug spray. Please save your coffee grinds and eggshells and bring them to the garden or drop them in the church kitchen for use in our compost. Great source of nutrients for our plants, and great kid’s project!
Fall Rummage Sale - Sept 13th & 14th - Save the Date
Mark your Calendars, Join the fun.We need significant donations of your unwanted goods. Tell your friends and families of the opportunity to donate to our fundraiser. We also need your help during the week. Every one of all ages can get involved.
Set Up will be Sat, September 7th at 9:30AM.
Sorting and Pricing will be from Sunday, September 8th 1:00 Pm – Thursday, September 12th.
Sale will be Friday, September 13th from 9:00 - 2:00 PM and Saturday, September 14th from 9:00 - 2:00 PM.
Clean Up will be Saturday, September 14th at 2:30 PM.

YMCA is Looking for Academic Support Volunteers
Do you a passion for helping kids and love math, reading or technology? Whatever your academic talents, we're looking for a few good scholars who can volunteer for our academic support and homework help program for students in grades K through 8. You don't need to have a teaching background, just patience and a desire to help the youth in our community.Who: Volunteers must be ages 14+
(adults are strongly encouraged to participate)
When: Tuesdays & Wednesdays (June through Oct)
Time: 3:00-5:00pm
Who: Students grades K-8
Where: St. Bernard's Parish Hall, 88 Claremont Rd., Bernardsville
