Good Afternoon, (slightly longer than usual)
I would like to thank all who attended the 11 AUG meeting. We accomplished a lot.
Also a special shout out to our new member, Teresa Ranieri !! Teresa brings a lot of fresh ideas and excitement to the group.
Meeting breakdown:
- Pasta Dinner. Save the date flyers were distributed after all masses last weekend. If you want to purchase your ticket/s now - you may contact Elaine Dapra. Committees are moving along with their co-ordinations. We are looking for some extra hands and some dessert makers. If interested please reply to flocknotes.
- Volunteers for Coffee & Donuts. Father Joe is very much in favor of this and is a great lead into our planned Soup & Bread Friday's for Lent. minimal effort needed to set & clean up. Please contact if you want to volunteer.
- What did you say ??? Would you like to communicate with your family & friends in a more productive way ? Please mark your calendar for 6 OCT (time TBA) the W. of S.H. will host a Workshop on Compassionate Communication. Sign up info will be in the bulletin.
- 2 new ideas for the near future to think/vote about.
~ Bereavement support meetings. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, but there is a better way, for us as members, to help those of our parish needing support. We are at the beginning stages and will need a few women to get together to form a plan to present to Fr. Joe for his approval. If this is you - please answer the calling.
~ W. of S.H. Scholarship. The general idea - funds available thru application process for students entering college, trade-school or Catholic vocation. Two W. of S.H. members have volunteered to come up with a guideline for this program and present to all members for a vote. At evey meeting the discussion of youth and teens is brought up. Working within our mission parameters I believe this is a great start.
- Don't nod off just yet..... our next meeting is 8 SEPT after the 9:30 mass in the school bldg. Hope to see you there !
The Holy Spirit moves us, but sometimes taking the first step is required.
God Bless
Carol
