Dear Regnum Christi Families and Friends:

I am delighted to communicate that Camp River Ridge’s proposed septic plan was approved on August 15, 2019, by our IN state reviewer Deborah Barnhizer, not coincidentally on the feast of the Assumption of Mary. Alleluia!!!

This means that we will be seeing construction before the end of 2019!!

After many years of planning and work to bring the facilities at Camp River Ridge to the next level, all our septic and building plans have been approved on a very special feast day of Mary. I have taken this to be a sign of God's Providence guiding this project all along.  Mary has been a special patron of our camp since the beginning. The prior owner of the property had dedicated the camp's property to Mary. She is well represented through imagery and statues at the upper camp and also the lower camp. In fact, this approval coincides with the completion of a grotto dedicated to Mary by St Joseph Lodge.

Given this great gift, I want to thank the Legionary and RC Consecrated Women communities for their patience and investment of personnel into the camp's activities and development over the years, particularly Fr Matthew Van Smoorenburg LC, Fr Daniel Brandenburg LC, Yvonne Nuxoll, and Ally Wheeler. Thank you to the benefactors that have made this financially possible so far. Thank you to the camp advisory board members that have stuck with this project for several years now. Thank you to our engineers and architect for persevering on the design project. Thank you to all the volunteers that have dedicated time, resources, and prayer to keep Camp River Ridge going.

What's next? Now we move forward with planning and construction as soon as the builders are able to schedule us in. Please continue to pray for this intention so that everything works out smoothly. I'm looking forward to making this camp a beautiful, complete, and permanent home for our youth!
