I would appear that summer is beginning its wind down as parish activities begin to pick up.
Breaking News: MQR Welcomes new Faith Formation Director...Welcome to our parish family Kelly Sullivan! Kelly has experience in coordination Faith Formation, Youth Groups, Mission Trips, and Vacation Bible School — most recently at St. Joan of Arc Parish in Worcester. Kelly will be part time (20 hours per week) and starts Monday, August 19th.
In addition to her duties at Mary Queen of the Rosary, she is Director of Field Placement, Social Work Program and Interim Director of Baccalaureate Social Work Program at Anna Maria College.
Reminders:
- Fall Calendar Raffle - The first winner will be drawn on September 1st. Please teturn your tickets before the end of August. Put them in the collection basket at Mass. (Make sure you mark your envelope RAFFLE if you're using your own envelope.) Or, you may mail them or drop them off at the Parish Office Center. Extra calendars are available at the church doors. You can't win if you don't enter!
- September 8th (Sunday): Parish Chicken BBQ at the Spencer Fish and Game). Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for kids and are available
- Faith Formation classes begin Sunday, September 15th. (All classes are held in the church hall.)
- Register your children now if you haven't done so:
- At the parish office (Mon-Wed, 9 am to 4 pm)
- After all weekend Masses
- Have you considered teaching? Additional teachers are needed on Sunday evening for grades 9-11. Contact the parish office (508-885-3111) if you would like to teach
- Class Schedule
- Sunday, 9-10 am: grades K-2
- Sunday, 11:30 am - 12:45 pm: grades 3, 5, 7
- Sunday, 5:30-8:30 pm, grades 9-11 (on scheduled weeks)
- Monday, 4:45-6 pm, grades 2-6
- Tuesday, 7-8:15 pm, grades 6-8
Something to Think About:Besides being Flocknote Coordinator , I also do the scheduling for our weekend Masses. We would love to have you on our Weekend Liturgical Ministers team. Here's the blurb from the bulletin:
