From Diocese Office:
As you know there have been many attempts to use the good names of our bishops, priests, deacons, religious, teachers and others to falsely solicit unsuspecting persons for help, usually in the form of fake e-mails and fake text messages asking people to purchase gift cards for worthy causes.
The most recent scam is rather important because it involves the Holy Family Soup Kitchen, which is well known in our Diocese, the Holy Family Food Pantry, and other charitable activities associated with Holy Family Parish and Father Stash Dailey.
We have been asked to warn our parishioners about this scam, using Father Dailey's name and perhaps tying it in with Holy Family activities, the James Cancer Hospital.
Thank you
