In keeping with the tradition of cathedrals throughout the ages, the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart actively promotes and engages in the arts and social outreach for the Catholic Diocese of Richmond and the Greater Richmond Area. The Music for a Cathedral Space Concert Series is made possible through a generous grant from the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation; a generous music program endowment created by Frank T. Eck; a generous music program endowment created by J. Alfred & Margaret Broaddus, Jr.; and the generosity of the community of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
The Atlantic Chamber Ensemble

The Atlantic Chamber Ensemble is a dynamic group of young professional players based in Richmond, VA. They are comprised of members of the Richmond Symphony and faculty members from Virginia Commonwealth University, the College of William & Mary, and the University of Richmond.

The Holiday Festival of Music is a beloved Richmond tradition marking the beginning of the holiday season. This elegant concert draws nearly 1,000 guests of all ages. The funds raised by Holiday Festival of Music benefit the services and programs that Commonwealth Catholic Charities provides to the most vulnerable members of our communities.
Forgotten Clefs promotes early music in the United States through performance, research, and education. We'll journey to Renaissance England and explore two centuries of music for wind band and singers. The program will highlight music sung in English and Latin, and features Renaissance instruments: shawms, dulcians, brass, and strings - with a surprise visit from bagpipes! FREE lunch follows!

An evening of festive carols, beautiful choral anthems, and scripture. Donations will be given to the Ryan White Program of Capital Area Health Network.
featuring the Cathedral Schola Cantorum with Three Notch'd Road: The Virginia Baroque Ensemble
See and hear J.S. Bach's monumental Mass in B minor performed by Richmond's own Cathedral Schola Cantorum with Three Notch'd Road: The Virginia Baroque Ensemble performing on period instruments. This is a historically-informed performance, using the instruments and techniques of the 17th century.
