The following information has been printed in the weekly school newsletter for the past two weeks. The procedures are necessary for ALL parents, grandparents and caregivers who drop off or pick up children. Parents, if someone else performs this task instead of you, please make sure s/he is aware of the procedures for drop off and pick up.

ARRIVAL & DISMISSALSMORNING ARRIVALS…- In the interest of child safety, please make it a practice to drop your children off NO EARLIER than 8 am.
- Students who need to be dropped off sooner, may meet Mrs. Moeller and other SJS students riding the yellow school bus over from Stewart Elementary. Mrs. Moeller is available at Stewart to supervise students by 7:45 a.m. Please do not drop off children any earlier than 7:45 a.m.
- Children should be dropped off at the school entrance on the school side of 2nd Street and exit the car on the curb side of the street.
- The car line school side of W. 2nd Street is a MOVING LINE. Cars should NOT park on this side if you are leaving your car to enter the building. Parents wishing to escort their children into the school are to park in the lot across the street and walk your children across the street using the crosswalk.
DAILY DISMISSALS…- No cars should park along the south side of West 2nd Street or along N. Ave E to pick up children.
- The mini-bus and yellow school bus park directly in front of the school. Cars should not park in these spots until these buses have boarded and pulled out.

- All vehicles picking up children need to be in a MOVING LINE along the north side of W. 2nd St. or in the south church parking lot.
- Staff supervises students boarding cars in the MOVING LINE along the school side of W. 2nd St between the white post in front of the school and the church driveway.
- Students will not be permitted to cross the driveway to meet a parent vehicle. Cars in line along this side of the street will need to wait their turn to pick up their child in front of Tobin Hall and the school.
- Vehicles parked in the church lot should do so within the lines, keeping the entrances/exits unblocked.
- Once loaded, vehicles in the south church parking lot should pull out by way of the side street (N. Ave E), NOT 2nd St.
- School staff will not walk students across the crosswalks to the parking lot or the other side of the street.
- Students needing to cross a crosswalk to board a vehicle MUST have a parent escort. We will NOT allow students of any age to cross at either crosswalk alone.
