Hello to all!
We're eager to see everyone at our first "Parent Night" of the year on Sunday. We know that many of you are new to this process, so we'd like to remind you of a few things. First, this Sunday, Confirmation parents come to class and youth stay at home. Only one parent needs to attend and attendance is taken. If you cannot attend Sunday, you can send a grandparent, uncle, sponsor, godparent or adult friend of the family to get the information. Think of Sunday like a "Back to School" night. You'll be able to meet your child's catechist, get some information about what they'll be learning and have a chance to meet other parents. When you come, please go straight to the class your child attends.
(Note: Please attend at the same time your child attends class. If you have children in multiple CONFIRMATION class times, you may choose only one or both times to attend.)
Home School:
We've had requests for home school families to participate in this night in order to meet other families. Mary and I are working on an option for the future, but this Sunday will be only for families with a Confirmation candidate attending classes on campus. We will have a separate home school parent meeting on Sept. 22 at noon. If you're child is in Year I and attends a Catholic school, you will also stay at home this Sunday.
Service Hours:
We're looking for some help with refreshments. Youth can earn 2 hours by preparing and bringing something for the parents to eat. Please see the sign up below for more information.
