Build a home altar or prayer space.Designate a space in your family home for prayer. Add religious images or statues, a candle, a Bible or a crucifix to your home altar. Make sure it's in a common area so you can gather and pray - and see it even when you're not praying.
Make a plan for WHEN and HOW you will pray together. Then share a pic of your finished space on Facebook!

Blessing of Pets and Snacks
Honoring the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi
The blessing and activity will be in the Outdoor classroom - so the chickens can receive a blessing, too! Please bring your pet in a carrier or on a leash. All pet-friendly pets are welcome!

The Feast of the Archangels
September 29
Sts. Michael, Gabriel and Raphael are the three archangels mentioned in the Bible. Michael is known for defending Heaven, Raphael for accompanying travelers and Gabriel for announcing to Mary her call to be the mother of Jesus.
What can you do to celebrate the archangels? Eat angelic foods, of course! Think of these delightful choices: angel hair pasta or angel food cake! (Or, since St. Michael expelled the devil from heaven: deviled eggs, devil's food cake..) There are many foods traditionally associated with Michelmas (the feast of St. Michael), explained HERE.
