Dr. Lorna Gold will tell her inspiring story of advocacy to create action on climate change and the awakening of a new urgency as the impact on her young children becomes depressingly clear. She recently published a book about her experiences (
www.lornagold.com). Lorna is the Laudato Sí Project Coordinator with Trócaire, the Irish Catholic Agency for International Development, coordinating their work on climate action within faith communities. She also is Chair of the Laudato Sí Working Group within the Irish Bishops’ Conference and Vice-Chair of the
Global Catholic Climate Movement Board.

Speaker – Dr. Erin Lothes
Dr. Erin Lothes is an associate theology professor at College of St. Elizabeth who recently published the book,
Inspired Sustainability: Planting Seeds for Action, and has spoken about the importance of divesting from fossil fuels. In this webinar, she will discuss ways to overcome the barriers that prevent each of us from being more effective in addressing climate change. Dr. Lothes is a dynamic, inspirational speaker who was featured as a keynote at the national Catholic Climate Covenant conference in June. She has also presented at the Vatican Ethics in Action Conference in Rome where global leaders discussed a shared moral consensus on the challenges of sustainable development.
