Note From Ms. Hackman:
My first day subbing at STM this year was Tuesday, September 10, 2019. I was subbing for Mrs. McMahon’s Kindergarten class. As I walked into the building, I felt excited to be back for another year. So many teachers and staff were welcoming, even hugging me! I heard “hundreds” of “Hi, Ms. Hackmans.” I noticed several new faces, also smiling and welcoming. During the day and after school, I saw parents, who also recognized me. I truly felt a part of the STM community. I enjoy every day I spend at St. Thomas More, whether I am teaching PE, music, art or in a classroom.
Thank you for a great beginning to a new school year,
Sincerely,
Molly Hackman

THANK YOU!!
Thank you to Michelle Radebaugh, Mary Kent and all the volunteers that provided our staff and faculty with breakfast and lunch during the Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences. We are so blessed to have a wonderful group of families that provide for us.
Golf Tournament – A big thank you to Joe Espinosa and all the volunteers who made the STM Golf Tournament a success! This year, we saw a 20% increase in our player participation, and we tripled our sponsorships from last year! Not surprisingly, purchasing a Mulligan was a great source of revenue and the feedback we received was great! All profits will be used to support the Endowment Fund, so thank you, golfers, for all your support!
Long Term Sub!
We are excited to welcome Mr. Jackson to Middle School! Mr. Jackson will be subbing during maternity leave for Liz Samson.
Staff at the Denver Hot Chocolate 5K/15K
What a beautiful morning for a Sweet Race. The weather was perfect for running the sweetest race in the country. Kicking it off was Teresa Wardarp and Rachel Espinoza running the 5K. After they finished Abby Basile, Kira Weiland, and Diane Baker ran the 15K. A great time was had by all.
BETA Harvest Days
STM Beta club will be hosting two “Harvest Days” this autumn. If a student brings in one or more non-perishable food item, they earn free dress for the day. Our two Harvest Days are Thursday, October 17, 2019, & Thursday, November 7, 2019. The food collected will go to the Food Bank of the Rockies. Please have your child take their nonperishable food item(s) to their classroom teacher the morning of the Harvest Day. Beta will collect the items later in the school day.
Snow
We all know how Colorado weather can be. That being said, the forecast is calling for snow on Thursday, 10 October. Please have your students dress appropriately for the weather (if they do not have a coat they will not be able to go out to recess). If you put them in boots please put a change of shoes in their backpack. Lastly, please be careful driving on the roads and plan accordingly.
