A short synopsis of the play: Eden Prairie High School Theater Department presents: Guys and Dolls, a musical comedy set during the Depression. The play was one of the greatest successes that the Broadway theatre has known. First produced at the 46th Street Theatre in 1950, it was originally described in the program as a “fable of Broadway,” ran for 1,200 performances, and netted more than twelve million dollars—a lot of money back then! It was later purchased for motion picture rights and cast Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, and Jean Simmons in the movie’s leading roles. It will be very exciting to see the version our local high school students present to us.
