The retreat will be from 9:30am to 4:00pm and will include Mass at 10:00am. The doors of the shrine open at 9:00am. I encourage students to arrive between 9:00am and 9:30am so we can start on time. Dress is casual, but please remember that we will be in a public, religious space (no obscene or offensive apparel).
For more information about the retreat and a printable map, please download the Retreat Details .pdf below.
Please note that I am always very concerned about the traffic at the intersection where the shrine resides. Cars drive by it very quickly. For that reason, I ask that parents/guardians drive South on Lakeview Ave. so that students can be dropped off on the West side of the street. I wrote this concern into the .pdf above. I have the same concern for pickup. If you can pick up on the west side of the street, It makes it a lot safer! Pick up will be at 4:00pm
Students just need to come as they are. They don’t need to bring anything. There will be food provided during the day. We have lunch from Subway that will be available and a snack in the afternoon. Please let me know about any allergies or food concerns.
Thank you to the Lachcik family, the Mannion family, and the Collins family who are hosting the missionaries (seen below). We could still use one more house who is willing to host two female missionaries in your home. The expectation has changed that the missionaries will only stay Sunday night and we ask for support in feeding them for dinner on Sunday night, breakfast on Monday, and a bag lunch to take with them. If you can host the two remaining missionaries, please let me know at

Please let me know if you have any questions! I look forward to seeing your child at the retreat!

Special note for RE Parents – Because of the retreat, your child does not have RE class on Sunday, October 6, 2019 and you will not need to attend the parent session for your RE 8th or 9th grader. I will have your at-home instruction packets delivered to you via email next week.
