We hope you had a wonderful fall break this past Sunday! Many families joined us at Busch Gardens. Many other families said they were going to spend the “extra hour” in a special way.
PREK-HS programming resumes this Sunday.
All programs will meet from 10:05 to 10:55. Middle & High School Youth Groups - come to the Parish Hall.
Our Youth Group and Cathedral families had a great trip to Busch Gardens. Along with all the fun rides, we went to Mass together with many other parishes from the diocese in the park. Bishop Knestout was the celebrant and said he had not been to an amusement park in 25 years - but he still remembers the feeling of being on a roller coaster! Thanks to the chaperones / drivers for making sure our Cathedral youth were safe and had lots of fun too!
Please keep Isabella Daye, Agnus Dei Catechist, altar server, and high school junior, and the Daye Family in your prayers. Isabella has been experiencing severe headaches and eye pressure. She was in the hospital over the weekend and the family is working with specialists on the next steps.
We have service opportunities throughout the year for middle and high school youth and parents too!

December 9, 16 ( 6 to 7pm) Help with Christmas Eve pageant rehearsals and scenery!
December 14 (8am to noon) Help the Knights of Columbus Breakfast with Santa Hospitality & Gift Shop
December 15: (10am to 2pm) Help setup and assist activities for our Las Posadas Party!
December 24: (3:00pm to 4:30pm) Help with pageant before and during our Christmas Eve Mass.
LIVING ROSARY
Please join the students in the Middle & High School youth group for our Living Rosary on October 20th after the 9:00am Mass in the
Parish Hall.
Diocesan Youth Conference
February 7-9th
The Diocesan Youth Conference registration will be opening soon. If you are in 8th grade - High School, save the date on your calendar now. This is a special fun and faith filled weekend for the youth in all the Richmond Diocese and is conveniently located right here in downtown Richmond. More details will be shared soon!
We keep having more fun and more friends every week in our Tuesdays Together program!
Tuesdays Together is a music and movement program for infants, toddlers or preschoolers and their parent/caregiver (and older homeschool children are welcome to come) We meet from 10am-11am on Tuesdays in the large downstairs classroom. We hope this time together can help us get to know other parents and caregivers with young children. Bring a snack for your child if you like, we will have coffee and refreshments.
Confirmand: It is time to register for the Confirmation Retreat.
Please return your paperwork ASAP so that we can reserve your spot. The retreat is $40 and checks/ payment can be made to Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Thank you!
