The Knights of Columbus council invite all parishioners to attend the donut social in Johnson Hall on October 20th following the 8:00 a.m. Mass. We plan to use this event to replace our annual cake sale. All proceeds and donations will support the Christmas outreach program for the St. Francis Center in McArthur, Ohio. We appreciate the past generosity of all the people of our parish, which has allowed us to support the center for the past 20 years. We ask you once again to help us support those less fortunate than ourselves and look forward to seeing everyone at our social!

Encountering Christ in our School
This Wednesday, we gathered for Adoration as a whole school. This allows us time to look at Him and He looks at us. We are so blessed to have the beautiful time with Christ.
The evening Grandparent Ministry on October 17 and 24 is now in the Mary Room
Calling all Men!
We are going to have an opportunity here at St. Francis to get recharged at our first ever men’s retreat to be held November 16th from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., and will include breakfast and lunch. The theme of this year’s retreat is Encountering Christ and features several great talks on how to encounter Christ on a deeper level within ourselves, our families, and our parish. Wherever you are on your faith journey, this day will impact your life and those you love. Don’t pass up this opportunity to grow in your faith and fellowship with other men who desire the same. You can sign up online or in the parish office.
29th Sunday in Ordinary Time “…proclaim the word, be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient...” 2 Timothy 4:2 It is not always convenient to be a good steward, especially when all the temptations of our busy and materialistic world get in the way. Now add our own pride and ego into the equation and living a stewardship lifestyle may be downright uncomfortable! Remember, God didn’t call us to be comfortable. He called us to be faithful. Learn how you can be a good steward by supporting your parish and contact The Catholic Foundation. Visit www.catholic-foundation.org/development for more information.
