Greetings all!It is springtime now and very close to summer. You would think we would slowing down but our collaborative is on a roll and we show NO signs of slowing down! At the right is a listing of our summer events. Details will be in our weekly bulletin.
You may have heard we have a new parochial vicar:Fr. Jude Thaddeus Osunkwo (popularly called Fr. J.T.) is coming to the CCC! He was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Orlu, South Eastern Nigeria, on July 28, 1990. He has served as pastor in seven parishes in his home Diocese. He also served as Director for Religious Education and Diocesan Chaplain of the Orlu Diocesan Catechists Association for four years respectively. He left Nigeria in 2006 for post-graduate studies. Father holds a PhD in Environmental Theology, a Master’s in Pastoral Catechesis, and a B.A. in Philosophy.
Under an agreement between his home Diocese and the Archdiocese of Boston, Fr. J.T. has been a missionary Priest to the Archdiocese of Boston since 2010. He was most recently the Parochial Vicar of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Roxbury and the Chaplain of the Nigerian Community in the Archdiocese of Boston. Fr. JT. is a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and Spiritual Director of K of C Council 15292.
Fr. J.T. has authored three books: God and the Human Environment; Reflections for Daily Living; and Handbook Manual for Marriage Preparations and Family Apostolate. He has also written a booklet: Simple Catechism for Youth and Young Adults.
