Christmas shop and help STM at the same time!
Barnes and Noble in Lone Tree will be hosting a Christmas Book Fair for STM. The Fair will be December 7th from 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM or online from December 7-11. The STM library will receive a percentage of all profits from the store and online sales. The STM choir will have a special performance from 10:00-10:30. Please mention STM at the time of purchase in order for your purchase to count for STM. The week of the event, a code will be sent for all online sales. Volunteer opportunities are available. Contact Mrs. Espinosa (Rachele@stthomasmore.org) if you or your child would like to volunteer.
Initiative 120
Did you know that abortion is legal in Colorado through all 9 months of pregnancy? Even pro-choice Americans overwhelmingly oppose late-term abortion, according to Americans United for Life. Archbishop Samuel Aquila urges all Catholics to get involved in putting Initiative 120 on next November's ballot.
Initiative 120 prohibits abortion in Colorado after 22 weeks of gestation, making it a misdemeanor punishable by a fine to perform or attempt to perform a prohibited abortion, except when the abortion is immediately required to save the life of the pregnant woman. A woman who obtains an abortion may not be charged with a crime. To read the full initiative or for more information, visit www.DueDateTooLate.com.
Training: At St. Thomas More Parish, we will host training for individuals to gather signatures to put Initiative 120 on next year's ballot.
Training will last approximately 30 minutes and will be held in McCallin Hall on the following dates and times:
Sunday, Nov 17 at 1:45 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov 19 at 9:45 a.m.
Wednesday, Nov 20 at 12:15 p.m.
Sunday, Nov 24 at 6:45 p.m.
No rsvp is necessary.
Please email respectlife@stthomasmore.org with any questions.
