Adult Faith Formation. Sunday Adult Faith Formation is preparing for the changes in the liturgical calendar. As is our custom, during Advent and Lent we select programs built around these periods.
During the periods of Ordinary Time,, we will be joining Dr. Edward Sri ( via DVD ) in "Symbolon, The Catholic Faith Explained" as he condenses over 2000 years of Church teaching down to simpler explanations to make it easier for Catholics to articulate their beliefs In this less structured time, we are also bringing Dr Scott Hahn in his study of "The Fourth Cup : Unveiling the Mystery of the Last Supper and the Cross".
Advent and Lent programs will be announced prior to those periods.
Join us in the Parish Center conference room at 8:30 Sunday mornings to continue your faith journey and spend an hour in Mass prep, as in the words of Steve Bollman ( Than Man is You ), we "put our minds on things above".
A movie about Saint Faustina and the Divine Mercy devotion will be shown at the Jewel Theater in Waco one night only Monday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m. If you would like to go and need transportation contact Dianne Friend (717-0031). "Tolkien's Leaf" "J.R.R. Tolkien’s short story "Leaf by Niggle", reveals that minutia matters: even the little things we do have can have great significance. In this video, Fr. Mike Schmitz explores how the author of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings shows that having a more complete vision for life can affect our attention to detail. Reflecting on this, Father Mike shows us how the hope of heaven can give eternally deeper meaning to even the most minute tasks in our lives." Click below fore more.
