Guadete Sunday is the Third Sunday of Advent, and it's a joyful day! The color rose may be used (where it is the practice) on Gaudete Sunday. Gaudete is the Latin word for "Rejoice," which is the first word of the introit of the Mass for this day.
There are various traditions for Gaudete Sunday. Some Christians choose this day to pick out and set up their Christmas tree. Others make this a day of giving to those less fortunate by ‘adopting a family’ or bringing new toys to be donated as Christmas gifts for children in need.
Today's challenge: Choose a special way to celebrate Gaudete Sunday, either by participating in one of the traditions above or picking another way to spread Christ’s joy.
