High School Service Trip 2020
Columbia, South Carolina
The 2020 service trip will take us out East June 14th-21st. We're looking forward to traveling with other local students and adults from Stewartville, St. Charles, Chatfiled, and Plainview!

Nov Unite: Does God Exist?

On Nov 9th from 5-7:30 pm (Mass is at 4:00) we'll gather at St. Pius X for the first Unite of the year. Our guest speaker, Brian Kusek - Coordinator of Faith Formation and Youth Ministry at St. Francis, will dive into the questions: Does God exists?; How can we know?; If yes/no, what does that mean for us? Teens are invited to join us for food, fellowship, music, and adoration.

What is Unite Ministries?
Unite Ministries is a collaborative effort among the youth ministry offices of the Rochester Area Catholic Parishes. Together we offer activities/events, evenings of prayer, and retreats/trips for teens with the goals of: uniting young people with one another; igniting a love for Jesus Christ and his Church; and inviting young people to respond to that love.

A serious misconception is that questioning our faith is shameful and equal to doubting or rejecting God. Asking questions is healthy and can serve as a springboard to grow in our knowledge of God’s love and trust in the Catholic Church. This year's Unite theme will encourage questions and thoughtfully explore four obstacles to fully embracing our Catholic faith.

Pray for our Confirmation students who will be participating in a pilgrimage and a retreat this month, along with all our students and adult who will be attending the National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis November 20th-24th.
Pray for an increase in trust. That we might let go of the ways in which we try to control God. That we would come to trust that God's will is greater than our own.
Pray for our parish, our priests, staff, parishioners, and all with which we have been blessed. Pray in particular for generosity and that our income might increase so we might be able to further improve our efforts in meeting the needs of our parishioners and reach out to those who are not yet parishioners.
Pray for all that we do in youth ministry, that our staff might always seek to meet the needs of our young people whether they are involved in our programs or not, and that all our leaders/volunteers might do the same as often as they are able.

Finally, we get a lot of people asking us if teens need service hours for Confirmation or otherwise. From time to time we will include any such requests in these emails.
