Report Cards:
Today, I am sending home report cards in a 5 X 7 manilla envelope. Please take the report card out and send the envelope back for the next report card. You will see that I did not include comments on this report card. Please know that it's not because I have a lack of words! I just couldn't figure out the comment section of the report card! So, at conferences, I will tell you my comments and we can discuss the report card and how your child is doing. Maybe by next time, I will get that figured out. This system is WAY different than how I did things in preschool! We are all learning new things.
Pictures:
I am also sending home the school pictures. They finally came in! If you want to have your child do a picture re-take, it is this Thursday, November 7 in the morning.
Both the report card and the pictures will be in the Family Folder.
Reverse Advent Calendar:
In the St. James Knightly News you may have read about the Reverse Advent Calendar. I have explained to the children that we want to be of service to others and this is how we can help others this season. All of the items will be put into food boxes and given to families of the school or Parish that may need some extra help. If we have enough, we will dontate them to HACAP.
Kindergarten is in charge of 3 items: Stuffing Mix, Canned sweet potatoes and Chicken Noodle Soup. The stuffing mix was to be brought in on Nov. 3. (Ok, that was Sunday.) Go ahead and send it if you have it! The dates are general guidelines. If you miss a date, please send the items anyway. A good way to teach your child about being of service to others is to take them with you to the store to purchase these items. So far, I have 2 boxes of stuffing mix. I sure hope this helps explain it a little better and we will get more items. Please let me know if you have any questions!
Have a great day!
