The Culture Project is here and serving the Bay Area! The Office of Human Life & Dignity and the Office of Marriage and Family Life are excited to welcome back The Culture Project missionaries to serve the Bay Area for the third school year. The Culture Project is an initiative of young people set out to restore culture through the experience of virtue. A team of five young adults are currently speaking in the schools and parishes of the Archdiocese about human dignity, sexual integrity, and social media to grades 7-12. Join us as we pray for the faithful departed homeless of the Archdiocese of San Francisco. Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone will offer Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Church of the Visitation, 655 Sunnydale Avenue in San Francisco. This is the second annual Mass and will feature the stirring music of the Schola of the
Benedict XVI Institute for Sacred Music and Divine Worship.
It is hard to find anyone who is not distressed by the strident level of public discourse, and it is spilling over into private conversations where in past times there was respect for differing opinions. In response, on Nov. 1, the U. S. bishops launched a National Civility Effort through the 2020 election. Titled "
Civilize It: Dignity Beyond the Debate, the year-long initiative invites Catholics to model civility, love for neighbor, and respectful dialogue.
