Hello, Everyone!
Thank you ,everyone, for being flexible in regards to celebrating Halloween!
A good time was had by all. Every grade had a chance to see us all dressed up.
The Rice Crispie Treats were so tasty and gave children just enough energy to play some games.
Thanks, Brandon & Krisi, for manning Pumpkin Bowling!
It was not scary at all to feed bugs to the Spider - but it was tricky!
there was just a little time left to play musical Pumpkin, too.
Thank you everyone for joining us Monday morning!
Of course our original plans are now all wacky! We still want to learn about our senses. It just won't be exactly the way it's stated in the planer you have.
As an introduction we read a great book by Bruce McMillan: Sense Suspense.
Children saw partial picture of an object or food on a page. The challenge was to figure out what the picture represented and then the question was: Which sense would we use?
A fun book, but lot's of information..I think we'll just have to read it again!
Tomorrow will find us making our sense -sational snack... food that'll change shape & color as it's heated. This food also smells & tastes yummy. And one can hear it pop while it's being fixed? What is it?
Projects need to be completed! Some monsters are patiently waiting for features.
Check your child's backpack! Pictures were sent home on Tuesday!
Not quite happy with the result? Picture Retake is Thursday, November7th!
Report Cards were sent home today!
Almost everyone scheduled a conference for Thursday, November 7th (4-8p.m.),
or Tuesday, November 12th (4-8p.m.)! Please, call the office to reserve a spot on either one of those days if you haven't had a chance yet! Thank you!
Check out the Book Fair - November 7 -13th!
There are many great titles to choose from!
The Book Fair will be open during Parent/Teacher conferences. St.James will benefit from purchases, to add more books to our library! Happy choosing!
Thank you for all the snacks brought this week!
Mrs. A & I are looking forward to more fun in learning with your child!
