Dear Parishioners,
Happy Monday! Whether you'll be hosting or visiting this Thanksgiving, chances are your schedule is tight, so this email will be brief. I've attached yesterday's bulletin to it so you can read it on the train, on line at the supermarket, as you wait for your kids to come out of school, or wherever you may be.
If you remember three things this week, let them be this:
- Be thankful for everything; it is ingrained in our Christianity. Even the word "Eucharist" means "thanksgiving"!
- I encourage you to come to the Interfaith Service tomorrow evening at 7:30PM at the Irvington Presbyterian Church. Let's be grateful together.
- December 8th at 1PM in the ICC GYM we will be hosting an even grander Breakfast With Santa - The ICC Christmas Festival - and everyone is invited, so bring someone.
Have a wonderful week, and don't let all the preparations cause you stress. Ultimately it is not the size of the turkey, the side dishes, or the number of people you will be with that matters. It is being grateful for God's many wonderful blessings that does. Look around you. They are everywhere.
I, for one, am thankful for you.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Fr. Ashman
