First Friday Mass and Adoration
This Friday we will continue the first Friday of the month tradition and have Mass and Adoration. Eucharistic Adoration is simply spending time in the presence of Jesus. With the season of Advent starting this week and the busyness of final papers and exams approaching, take some time to be with Jesus and offer up any worries and stress to Him who knows us best!
Advent Donation Drive
We are collecting donations of nonperishable foods for the Food Bank of the Southern Tier (non-food items such as toiletries, diapers, and unopened pet food will also be accepted). We also will collect supplies for
Thrive for Life Prison Ministry. Items will be donated to residents at a local juvenile detention facility. Visit our website
here for more information. Drop off donations at our offices in ATH (G-22) throughout the week or at Sunday Mass in Sage. Please make any drop offs by noon on Monday December 16th.
Sisters of St. Joseph Visit Thursday
Sr. Donna and Sr. Marilyn, Sisters of St. Joseph from Rochester, will be visiting Thursday December 5th. If you are interested in meeting with one of them 1:1 for spiritual direction/guidance or just a casual conversation email Abrey (aaf87) by Wednesday at 5 pm.
Finals: Your Nightmare before Christmas
Our Advent party and finals study break will be Friday December 13th from 6:00 - 8 PM. There will be ornament making, coloring books, gingerbread house decorating and hot chocolate. Join us for an evening of holiday traditions and Tim Burton themed activities to unwind and recharge before finals.
March for Life
The next March for Life will take place January 24, 2020 (the first Friday of classes next semester). The vision of the march is for a world where every human life is valued and protected and the mission is to unite, educate, and mobilize pro-life people to help end abortion. The march started after Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton and quickly grew to be the largest pro-life event in the world. A group will be taking a 24-hour bus trip to the March for Life, leaving late Thursday night and returning late Friday night. If you are interested please email Abrey (aaf87). Please contact Abrey by 12/15 to ensure that a seat will be reserved for you.
Today is the Memorial of Saint Francis Xavier! Read more about him here. St. Francis Xavier, pray for us!
Philippians 4:4-7: "Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
Blessings in this first week of Advent!
