Jesus "rejoiced" in the Holy Spirit and said, "I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned, You have revealed them to the childlike..."
What a great passage to start the day. We are waking up and seeing the effects of our first snow storm of the year. I guess there is not too much rejoicing in our houses right now as we stare out at the glow of emergency vehicles clearing streets and the thought of a difficult day ahead.
Take heart as God is telling us to slow down and rejoice in the knowledge that His Son has come once in the world 2,000 years ago and He will come again @ the end of time. The question we need to ask ourselves is: "How often do I miss seeing you, Lord, in the every day things of my life?"
Jesus says that the simplest and most beautiful events in our lives have been hidden from the wise and learned, but revealed to the childlike.
As we go about our day today, ask God for that peace pf heart and mind that will allow us to see things the way a child does. If we do that, then one day the wolf be a guest of the lamb, and the calf and young lion will live in peace together (Isaiah 11:1-10).
Have a great day everyone!
