January Action Guide
The General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM), no. 373, designates January 22 as a particular day of prayer and penance, called the “Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children.”
The USCCB provides resources to help parishes and ministries participate in this important day of prayer and penance at www.respectlifeprogram.org/january. In addition, the USCCB will sponsor an annual, nationwide novena, the “9 Days for
Life” which surrounds the liturgical observance of the Day of Prayer. In 2020, the novena will take place Tuesday, January 21 – Wednesday, January 29. Texas Rally for Life
The Office of Pro-Life Activities will offer transportation to Austin for the annual Texas Rally for Life march on Saturday, January 25, 2020. Join us for the Mass at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Katy at 8:30 a.m. After Mass, we will travel to Austin. The Office of Pro-Life Activities will offer the next Rachel’s Vineyard retreat of post-abortion healing on the weekend of February 21-23. This retreat is part of Project Rachel’s ministry and all inquiries and registrations are strictly confidential.
