Dear Parents,
This is a reminder that the next joint parent-child session for Religious Education is this Sunday, December 8, 2019. Please drop your child off at the school at 8:45am and proceed to the Auditorium where we will begin at 8:50am. We will have coffee and donuts ready for you!
If you cannot make this session, I will have a make-up for parents on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 7:00pm in the Chapel.
BUT THERE IS ANOTHER OPTION!
As we usually do, we’d like to give you an alternative that can more deeply enrich your Advent experience and maybe even your career!
(Please note... the location has been moved to the Social Hall)
The Advent Speaker Series this year will be a three-week seminar covering Gallup Polling’s Clifton Strengths. This is a powerful human assessment tool used across the country in Human Resource Departments as a way of enabling people to work out of their strengths. This can help you hone your professional skills at work and give a boost to your spiritual life as well.
The series will be held on Wednesday nights from 7:00pm to 8:30pm and STARTS TONIGHT December 4, 2019. It will continue until December 18. There is an accompanying children’s program so that you can bring your child(ren) as well as take some time for your own professional growth and development. Attendance at any night of the Advent Speaker Series will equal one class for Religious Education. So if you would like to take a break from doing the online reviews and you’d like to do something together spiritually as a family, we invite you to be part of the speaker series!
It is ideal to attend all three evenings, but if schedules prohibit, it can be valuable to do just one or two nights of the series.
