I want to thank everyone for such a warm welcome to the parish. Special thanks to all who were involved in planning and cooking for the barbecue last Saturday night and for Sunday’s reception.
I am honored to have been appointed the new pastor at St. Mary’s. It is a great joy to be following Fr. Baker, one of the finest priests I know. He has done so much good for this parish over the last four years, and I am excited to jump right in.
Please remember me in your daily prayers, especially during this time of transition as a brand-new pastor, and know that I am praying for you all as well.
Sincerely, Fr. Neely
St. Mary's offers faith formation classes for every member of the household aged 3 to adult.

Monday, August 15, is the
Feast of the Assumption
of the Blessed VIrgin Mary.
Mass will be offered at 12:10 pm.
Because the feast falls on a Monday this year,
it is not a holy day of obligation.
St. Mary’s parishioners have many great Catholic programs, books and movies available anytime through formed.org.
St. Mary’s is considering forming a chapter of American Heritage Girls, a faith-based organization that teaches service, team building and leadership skills in a fun, family-friendly environment. Girls would have opportunities for outdoor adventures, learning home-making skills, exploring the lives of Saints and women of the Bible, and much more. It would meet twice a month at Overbrook School and would be led by Brandi LaPorte. In order to gauge the interest of St. Mary’s families, please answer the poll question below and stop by to see Brandi on Sunday morning in the Crypt. Or contact her at StMarysAHGtroop@gmail.com for more information.
