Holy Cross Family,
Thursday, December 12, 7pm Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Come commemorate the appearance of Our Lady to Juan Diego at Tepeyac Hill, Mexico City in 1531. The Patroness of the Americas is a symbol of justice because she holds an appeal to the poor and to marginalized people. Today, she represents people standing against oppression, declaring their independence. Matachines and Mariachis will pay tribute to the Virgen in a Mass of celebration, and afterwards with a reception in Thea Bowman cafeteria.
