It's been a great week with plenty of fun. The concert was awesome. The class really enjoyed the Guadalupe Dancers on Thursday, I know I did; it was fascinating and a great learning experience.
Many thanks to Atilano's for healthy snacks all week! Berdo's are on the snack schedule next week.
Math-
They are still working hard on learning how to subtract with regrouping. I have told them to be patient and do it one step at a time. The more they practice the easier it will be.
Reading-
We are taking a break from curriculum and they will begin a Christmas book study next week on "An Orange for Frankie" by Patricia Polacco. They will do a character study, explore the author's purpose, summarize, and play vocabulary and sequence games. No tests involved.
Science and Social Studies-
The class will do another experiment with their parachutes, then examine what happens when air is pushed into a smaller space. During Social Studies I'll read "The Lorax" and they will discuss how the environment changed. Let me know if you have any questions. Have a wonderful weekend!
