Our Sunday Social Hour begins this Sunday, August 21st, from 9 a.m. until noon in Johnson Hall. Our theme this Sunday is “WELCOME BACK!” Please stop by to welcome visitors and make new friends. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with people you’ve missed seeing on a regular basis all summer. We especially encourage parishioners of the former Church of the Nativity in Utica to drop by; it’s an opportune time for us to get to know each other over a cup of coffee and refreshments.
Graduates of and sponsors for our ABC: About Being Catholic program are encouraged to attend the 10 a.m. Mass this Sunday for our first annual ABC REUNION. Please arrive between 9:30 – 9:45 a.m. in Johnson Hall to pick up a special nametag and receive further instructions before going to the church. After Mass, please come to Johnson Hall, where the social hour during this timeframe will be in your honor.
Are you exploring your spirituality? Perhaps a current parishioner of St. Francis looking to deepen their faith? Perhaps you have a friend of another faith who is curious about Catholicism? Perhaps you know someone with no current defined faith who is exploring possibilities? Whether you or a family member or friend are unbaptized, a baptized Christian from a Protestant or Evangelical background, a baptized Catholic who has not received your first communion or confirmation, or a fully initiated Catholic looking to connect with others – our ABC: About Being Catholic Open House is for you! Join us on Wednesday, August 31st at 7 p.m. in the school library. It will be a casual, relaxed setting where you can ask questions about the process, about St. Francis Church, or about the Catholic faith.
