Br. Nathan Linton OFM, Cap.
Br. Nathan was raised in Cumberland, a small town in Northern Wisconsin. He was raised in the Catholic faith and always regarded it with a sense of importance, but can’t really say that he took it seriously until his father started the application to become a deacon in his home diocese of Superior, WI . Seeing his father answer the call, Br. Nathan starting asking questions and praying about his own life. After a lot of resistance, he finally gave the idea of priesthood a chance. The idea of giving himself completely to God in a life of poverty and simplicity became more and more attractive and the next thing he knew, he was studying for the Capuchin Franciscans at Loyola University Chicago. However, at the end of the first year, he had a few questions that needed answering and left to study for his home diocese at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. During this year, he realized the incredible gifts that God had given to him in the Capuchins and he entered as a postulant last August.
