Kindergarten has been busy these last 2 weeks. Last week we learned about wheels and got to see some bikes from long ago and saw some unicycle tricks! The kids were very interested in the wheels from long ago and they figure out that a long time ago, wheels looked different. We figured out that the old wheels didn't have rubber on them.
In science we watched the snails, learned about the parts of a snail and watched them move VERY slowly! They also drew a picture of a snail in their science journal. These kids are all budding artists!
We continue to learn about adjectives and the different types of adjectives. We have covered number and color adjectives. This week we are learning about adjectives for size and shape. The kids are doing very well with remembering what a noun and verb is and they continue to work on adjectives.
We finished Chapter 3 in math! We will start chapter 4 when we come back on January 2. This week, we are doing a lot of review and playing with numbers.
In art, we finished our Christmas present to you! They will be coming home with the kids on Friday!
I will be sending the rest towels home on Friday also.
Friday is our class Christmas party at 10:30 to 11:30. It's going to be a fun time! Parents are always welcome. Please let me know your plans for after the party. We need to know the lunch count by 9am.
Thank you to Ymbrace and Paxton for snacks these last two weeks. We have had some great snacks and our tummies are full! The week of January 6, Christine Goebel will be the snack person!
Ymbrace got to hang out with Milky Way this last weekend! Ymbrace taught Milky Way how to play the violin! Milky Way has had some great adventures.
Looking ahead...I will be gone January 6 thru the 12th. Mr. McBride and Mrs. Horak will be subbing for me. During that time, please call the office with absences or other questions. I will not be returning texts or phone calls that week.
If I don't get a chance to personally tell you, I pray that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year!! Thank you for sharing your kiddo with me.
