Good morning All,
We are entering into the last few days of preparation for the birth of Jesus. Today's gospel paints a picture of that special visit, whereby the Blessed Virgin Mary, pregnant with Jesus, goes to her cousin Elizabeth (a.k.a. John the Baptist's mom) to assist Elizabeth in her late stages of pregnancy.
What is so awesome is that Mary is bringing Christ to Elizabeth, literally in her womb. If there was ever a case for the basic human right to be born, here it is! John the Baptist is in Elizabeth's womb stirring with joy. Two unborn babies meeting each other. The power of the Holy Spirit is at all time highs.
As we wind down to Christmas Eve in a few days, I ask that you pray for all of our children, born and unborn. May we realize the great gift of life that God has given us. Most especially, let us realize the presence of Christ is one another.
God bless,
Fr. Pat
