Two articles and an invitation this week.
RCIA
This past Sunday, Our Lady of Lourdes parish celebrated the beautiful first rituals of the extended Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)—the “Rite of Acceptance, and the Rite of Welcoming." During these first rituals, individuals supported by their sponsors are seeking to enter the Catholic Church express to the whole parish their desire for faith. In return, the parish affirms their desire and they advance from being considered “inquirers” to being considered either catechumens or candidates—a distinction as they are dedicated to the pursuit of conversion and the sacraments.
As a community of believers let us continue to pray that they see the workings of Our Lord and the Holy Spirit in their lives and those of others, to be a reminder to us all that God is in pursuit of each of us.
