If you're a parent, grandparent, Godparent, uncle, aunt or friend of someone with kids, we need you to spread the word, about a great opportunity for our YOUth to grow their leadership, planning skills, and Faith.
This Saturday, January 11 at 6:00 PM, ICC will launch YOUth, a club for 7th – 12th graders. The goal, through quarterly meetups (game and movie nights, outings like bowling or sporting events, open mic and cabaret nights, community service and more) is to give our children a chance to have fun, learn how to lead and to plan, to be part of something good outside of school, and, hopefully, to stay connected in some way to their Faith after they leave Irvington.
The Kickoff will allow them to share their ideas and to shape the YOUth club/program. Our hope is that the 9th - 12th graders will lead and be role models for those in 7th and 8th grade who will pick up the mantle once the older kids have gone off to college. This club is about them, not us.
Please help us to spread the news. Please encourage them to come and check it out. They have nothing to lose. There will be free eats and a chance to hang out with friends and meet new ones at the VIC for a couple of hours. The flyer below has all the details and RSVP info. (Call the Rectory at 591-7480.) Members of the ICC Parish Council Youth Ministry Committee will be onsite for supervision, and to guide the meeting.
And now back to your regularly scheduled program.
Happy Three Kings Day!
