Greetings!
If you are following our chronological reading plan, which I encourage every members and regular attendee to participate in, you just finished the book of Job, and now will continue on in Genesis, with the story of Abram. This past Sabbath I reflected on the book of Job, and how it relates to us today. You can hear it here:
I hope you have found Job to be a book of blessings, rather than one to jump over in haste to get to Psalms, which follows it immediately in the Bible. We all have questions in regards to why things happen in life, and Job gives us a revealing look into how we relate to God in the times when things appear to be falling apart.
Please continue on with our Bible reading, so we keep close together and journey through the Bible as a congregation. The goal is to draw deep roots in God, and change ourselves, and our congregation, as we desire God.

This class is an introduction to the Biblical beliefs we hold as a church, and also a refresher course for those who wish to join. We encourage those who are new to the Adventist church, or haven't been attending in a while, to join up!
Note: if you are a connect group leader, consider joining together this Sabbath at 9:30A for a prayer together for God's blessings on our groups, and those who attend.

Prayer. It truly makes a difference. I would like to invite every member and regular attendee to join us for our Prayer Circles at 9:30A this Sabbath, and every Sabbath. I know, I know, it means you need to get up earlier than you wanted too, but the power of prayer makes it worth it. Who would you like to place before God this year? Do you have someone that is on your heart you would like for all of us to pray for? We will begin our format of circles containing 2-4 people, so we have multiple groups around the sanctuary in prayer for people, our church, and our mission.

This Sabbath we will celebrate as Michael DeMasi and Melissa DeMasi are baptized, and join our church as official members. For those who know this family well, what a celebration it will be!!!!! Please support them, and stay for the fellowship lunch which will follow immediately, and be part of the overall celebration.

May God richly bless you through the balance of your week. And please, this coming Sunday, do the right thing and root for the Kansas City Chiefs!
