Dear friends,
The June pilgrimage is fast approaching! What a privilege to have two wonderful Legionary of Christ priests, Fr. Louis de Vaugelas and Fr. Matthew Summe, to visit all the tourist and pilgrim sites with us, enriching our trip each step of the way with further history, insights, Mass, etc. Fr. Louis is from France and will have insights that foreigners will not have. Click on the link to the pilgrimage flyer above, which includes trip itinerary, price, due dates, and more.... plus the registration form.
A reminder that the due date for the first payment and registration is March 2. When you register, there is $600 deposit due. If for some reason we do not have enough participants, all money will be reimbursed after this date.
Flights can be booked through the travel agent on the brochure by calling 888-878-8187, or you can book your own flights through other travel agents such as Expedia.com. However, I would not recommend anyone booking flights yet until we have enough people registered, and if you do book flights this early make sure you have a cancellation policy and are aware of terms of policy. As soon as we get close to our quota of registered participants I will let everyone know. If you are considering going, please register ASAP so we move forward with the trip.
Families traveling together can get a joining rooms and/or up to three people to a room. The cost will be the same. For those wanting a single room, the cost goes up $998. The cost of the ground trip is $2,548. This includes everything in FRANCE from hotels, transportation, tour guides, entrance fees, and meals. The price on the brochure includes flights out of the New York area. However, it would be cheaper for some of us to book out of the nearest airport directly into Paris. There is a group of us coming out of Louisville that are considering flying out of Louisville for $1,100 at this current moment, or Chicago around $700. Most likely by the time we book the prices will go up slightly. All flights should aim at arriving early June 16th -- preferably around 7 or 8 AM and no later than 9 AM to catch the tour bus, or even consider coming in the day before if you’re booking on your own.
The cost of the trip for the wonderful priests who are accompanying us will be covered, but let me know if there’s anyone who would like to help with part of the flight cost or stipend for the priests.
Most of the details for the trip and the terms and conditions are on the second page of the flyer (see document link above). Because there is so much information on one page it is better to view this on a computer where you can enlarge it. Please don’t hesitate to contact the travel agent or myself with any further questions.
God bless,
Leslie Genuis
