As we continue to shelter in place and try to remain physically healthy, we continue to reflect on those people throughout biblical history who are examples of conversion and repentance and who listened to God's call and followed God's will.
All of us are called. All of us have a mission and have been made by God for a definite purpose.
Jonah resisted God’s call, but God ultimately prevailed.
• How does the Biblical hero, who is called by God and not self-directed, compare with the heroes and aspirations of the culture?
• Bishop Barron said in the video that “when we resist God’s call, storms kick up.” Not just storms or troubles for you, but for those around you as well. What examples from your own experience support this statement?
• Being swallowed up by the whale is a time of discipline and suffering for Jonah. It’s a time to be conformed to God’s will through trial. How do you handle the times when you are “swallowed up by the whale”?
Watch for more faith formation opportunities online as we continue to keep a physical distance.
