Hello St. Catherine of Siena Families!
I pray that everyone is having a good start to Lent. I know that the students and teachers have been talking a lot this week in preparations for Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. Ask you son or daughter about what they have discussed!
The week off allowed many students to recover from illness, however, we are still dealing with illnesses being spread around the school. I am asking for your help in keeping your child home if they are sick.This will allow them to recover faster and stop the spread of illness to others.
The flu is still very rampant and doesn't seem to want to go away this year. If your child ends up being diagnosed with the flu, please contact the office and let us know. We are keeping a close eye on the number of students who have the flu.
We have a lot going on in the coming months as we finish our last 12 weeks of school! Please keep a close eye on the calendar and checking SchoolSpeak for any updates and sign-ups. Mrs. Pesa does a fantastic job of keeping SchoolSpeak updated and current with information. This should be your FIRST stop in looking for information if you should need anything.
Our Annual Gala is coming up in just a few weeks! Please click on the flier and purchase your tickets for the March 21st event. This is sure to be a great event with lots of fun and fellowship with our school and church communities. The majority of the faculty will be present along with Fr. Bill John, our Pastor, and Fr. Dave. It is also our biggest fundraising event we do and we need your support!
We also have our Annual Pasta Dinner coming up Thursday, March 26th. This year we have joined it with our Art Show that Mrs. Caloggero organizes. The Art Show was a huge success last year and we are hoping to build upon that success this year by joining it with the Pasta Dinner. Please see the flier below for more details.
Reminder: Please follow appropriate carpool procedures, both in the morning and afternoon while on our campus. I am seeing many families cut through the church in the mornings to cut the line. This poses a safety issue for you, your child, our parishioners and the other families. Also, please refrain from dropping your child off at the curb in the morning. For your safety and the safety of your child, we ask that you please park and the student walks across the crosswalk to the sidewalk to enter school. Families found in violation will be subject to a fine. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our campus safe for all our families and students.
