Hello Faith Formation Families,
The recent outbreaks of Novel Coronavirus 2019 in the US are on everyone’s mind. While no reports of the virus have been made in North Carolina, the parish, school, and preschool leadership and the Diocese of Raleigh take the health and safety of our parish and school communities seriously and are staying informed to take proper precautions.
Our St. Raphael custodial contractor and school and preschool teachers are following appropriate disinfection practices and focusing on high-touch areas in our school, preschool, and other campus buildings. If additional custodial staff or cleaning supplies are needed, we are prepared to revise our cleaning procedures and will plan accordingly.
You can help prevent the spread of all viruses by reminding your children about the importance of thorough hand washing and using hand sanitizer. For more information and resources about handwashing you can visit:
www.cdc.gov/handwashing/index.html.
As recommended for any virus including the flu, please keep your child home if they have a fever or respiratory symptoms. Children and youth should be fever-free for 24 hours before attending Faith Formation, without symptoms being masked by a pain reliever.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve your children in Faith Formation this year. We ask for your prayers for all those affected by the outbreak, not only those who have contracted the virus, but the many whose means of income have been severely hindered.
Sincerely,
The Faith Formation Team
