I am praying this email finds everyone healthy!
Please find attached the online lessons for the week of March 22-24.
Following the directive of the Archdiocese of Detroit, we will NOT have classes at the church until after Easter. Our next scheduled session is April 19-21. I will update you if there are any changes.
I know many are concerned about preparation for the sacraments. Unfortunately, at this time we do not have any definite answers. I will keep you posted.
7th and 8th grade students who were scheduled to volunteer for the simple suppers or pancake breakfast to complete their service hours, could do an extra project at home. They can write this up for their parish with a note explaining the circumstances. It is a perfect opportunity for spring cleaning. Another idea would be to write letters or cards for the sick and/or elderly of the parish. They are vulnerable and lonely during this time of isolation.
I have included a list of Emergency Bible readings to help with anxiety. 7th and 8th graders had a session on anxiety and stress week 3 of 7th grade. If any of your teens are feeling anxious during these troubling times, have them refer to that week in their student book. It was very comforting for my 16 year old who was very anxious about the situation.
May God Bless and Keep you,
Mary
