Families,
Mrs. Gaudi and I have stayed in contact with the Community Breakfast organizer, Ken DeTorres. Mr. DeTorres advises that they have made modifications to how they handle the breakfast. For the last two weeks, they have distributed bagels with egg, cheese, and ham wrapped in aluminum foil OUTSIDE their Fellowship Hall along with coffee, juice, and milk. No one that they were feeding was allowed to go inside. They had 1 volunteer who handed out the sandwiches. Today, they are serving breakfast burritos (scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese) using the same set up outside. Their Church is allowing them to continue this method for 2 weeks and then they will reassess the virus and the impact in our community.
So, families, we have Father Andrew's approval to continue staffing this breakfast. The homeless are still hungry, and we are Jesus' hands and feet.
Will you join us?
