SATURDAY OF THE FOURTH WEEK OF LENT
On Sunday you are also invited to participate in the Sunday Mass online at worcesterdiocese.org - Live at 10 am.
The following can be prayed alone or with family members in your household.
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son (+),
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
PENITENTIAL ACT
Brothers and sisters,
let us acknowledge our sins.
A brief pause for silence follows. Then all recite together the formula of general confession:
I confess to almighty God
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned,
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done and in what I have failed to do,
through my fault, through my fault,
through my most grievous fault;
therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.
OPENING PRAYER
Let us pray.
May the working of your mercy, O Lord, we pray,
direct our hearts aright,
for without your grace
we cannot find favor in your sight.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL
That our pastors might lead us along paths of truth and light, we pray to the Lord.
Lord, hear our prayer.
That our national and international leaders may collaborate in providing for the needs of all, especially the poor. We pray to the Lord.
Lord, hear our prayer.
That the strong faith and witness of parents might help their children and youth in this time of confusion. We pray to the Lord.
Lord, hear our prayer.
For the sick and those in need, that they might find relief. We pray to the Lord.
Lord, hear our prayer.
For those who have died, that they might come to eternal truth, light, and joy. We pray to the Lord.
Lord, hear our prayer.
LORD’S PRAYER
At the Savior’s command
and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
CLOSING PRAYER
Look upon your people, O Lord,
and, as they draw near to the coming festivities, bestow upon them abundance of heavenly grace, that, helped by the consolations of this world, they may be impelled more readily
towards higher goods that cannot be seen.
Through Christ our Lord.
DIOCESAN PRAYER IN TIME OF PANDEMIC
O God, whose Only Begotten Son bore the weight of human suffering
for our salvation, hear the prayers of your Church
for our sick brothers and sisters
and deliver us from this time of trial.
Open our ears and our hearts to the voice of your Son:
Be not afraid, for I am with you always.
Bless all doctors and nurses, researchers and public servants;
give us the wisdom to do what is right and the faith to endure this hour,
that we might gather once again to praise your name in the heart of your Church, delivered from all distress and confident in your mercy.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen
BLESSING
May Almighty God bless us,
the Father (+),
and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
