Happy Feast Day! Today, March 25th is the feast of St. Margaret of York. Learn more about our patroness: http://catholicsaints.info/saint-margaret-clitherow/. We almost always observe St. Margaret’s feast on October 25th with the other English martyrs because today is also the Solemnity of The Annunciation of the Lord. Today’s Solemnity draws our attention to the mystery of the Incarnation. God takes on human flesh in the Person of Jesus Christ. Today we commemorate the first day of his life, his priesthood as his Blessed Mother gave her generous yes to the Father. Exactly nine months until Christmas!
This Sunday we plan to live stream Mass from St. Margaret of York church at 10:00 AM on the parish Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTm2wN1iEJWRRgTDkzYlLHA. Please plan to join us in prayer online if you are able.
The latest updates from the Archdiocese include the following:
Churches should stay open if possible so the faithful can make visits to the Blessed Sacrament and pray in private. Please keep at least six feet of distance between others
No prayer is organized or scheduled as it may draw a crowd.
St. Margaret of York is open, and we continue to keep the church clean.
We plan to keep our normal schedule for the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation (Confession)

A parishioner notified me that she tested positive for COVID-19. She was last at Mass on Tuesday, March 10th. She was tested on March 18th. I have heard that she has already notified the people with whom she may have had contact. She says she had little to no symptoms on the 10th, so no one knows for sure when she was infected with it. Health experts seem to agree that many people have COVID-19 without knowing it, hence the social distancing.

uring the heart of Lent, the Church celebrates a feast honoring the incarnation of Jesus Christ in the womb of the Virgin Mary. It is an interesting feast, as it interrupts the fasting and penance of Lent to celebrate Jesus’ coming into the world.

Cyber Crime
Cybercriminals are targeting our parish community by impersonating Fr. Bedel asking for a favor, money, gift cards etc. These are not real.
Additionally, cybercriminals are preying upon public concern over the global coronavirus pandemic. These criminals are installing malware on computers through legitimate-looking coronavirus maps. Please be cautious.
Cybercriminals have gotten far more sophisticated in their tactics. Please be aware of these scams and help spread the word among our community.

St. Margaret of York – St. Vincent de Paul Conference
NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS
The current Covid-19 virus has resulted in severe concerns for many of our neighbors. Reduced work hours, layoffs from work, low food supplies, reduced income to buy food and pay needed bills affect many of our clients. Our SvDP conference has been helping others for over 14 years. We are able to provide this outreach support because of the donations of our parishioners.
SMOY SvDP provides limited financial support and limited food items to those in need. Our conference team makes assessments of the client’s needs who call into our helpline and then makes efforts to help these clients where possible.
With the canceled liturgical services for the near future and the altered work habits of many, the donations we normally get may be severely reduced. There will be no 5th Sunday Mass this month where we collect for SvDP, and the level of contributions may be reduced.
The SvDP is asking all parishioners to remember the needs of others by continuing to donate to our conference. You may use your 5th Sunday SVDP envelopes or any means of donating. Please send your donations to the Parish Office to the attention of SvDP. Your donations make our support possible by providing assistance to those who may no other sources of help.
May God continue to bless you; may He continue to protect you and keep you in His mercy.
City Gospel Mission
The Social Action Commission is planning to serve dinner at City Gospel Mission on Sunday, April 5,2020. Please drop donations in the marked boxes next to the Hospitality Room. Please leave refrigerated items in the hospitality refrigerator (marked for City Gospel Mission).
We will need the following food items donated: hamburger buns, large cans of baked beans, American cheese, barbecue sauce, potato chips (individual bags), lettuce and salad vegetables (peppers, tomatoes, shredded carrots and cucumbers), ranch salad dressing, large cans of chocolate pudding, peanut butter, and jelly prior to 5:15pm the day of.
Please check the sign-up genius link below for donations or to volunteer. Extra food donations will be given to the Kings Food Pantry and L.I.F.E Pantry in Loveland.
