Good Afternoon Pax Christi Youth Ministry,
All middle school students and any high school students who may not be in a small group at Proof or Confirmation, are invited to jump online with us this evening from 7:00-7:45 or so. We'll be checking in to see how life is at home, take a look at the Sunday Mass readings, and spend time in prayer.
We'll use the Summit resource that I sent out yesterday (included below).
Directions for accessing the Video Call:
Using a web browser (Chrome is recommended) navigate to meet.jit.si/Proof
When prompted enter the password: proof
If using a mobile device (phone, tablet, iPod, etc) you'll need the free "Jitsi" app, just search "Jitsi" in your app store. When you open the app you'll be asked to "Enter a Room Name," enter "Proof" and then use the same password: proof
Note: You may need to allow your browser and/or to have access to your camera and microphone. You can do that through your computer settings (if needed) usually the default for most computers is that it will ask you for permission when a webpage/app is opened.

Pray with the Scriptures
Life Teen offers a pretty sweet live stream every Wednesday at 5 pm CST on YouTube called "Lectio Live." They'll guide you through the scriptures using a prayer method called "lectio divina" or divine reading. Try it, you'll like it! There is an archive of past weeks as well!
Live Stream Mass at Pax Christi
Everyday at 8 am one of our priests will be celebrating Mass and streaming it live. On Sundays the plan is to have music as well! Don't worry if you miss it live, it will be recorded and added to our YouTube Channel archive.
Live Stream w/Fr. Mike Schmitz
Fr. Mike is the chaplain at the University of Minnesota Duluth and the Director of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of Duluth. He also hosts a popular apologetics series on YouTube with Ascension Presents. He'll be streaming his Sunday Masses.
Live from Bishop Barron's Chapel
Bishop Barron is an Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He's also the creator of many video catechesis programs' including the popular series "Catholicism." As founder of "Word on Fire" Bishop Barron has become a leading figure in Catholic Evangelization.
When one cannot receive our Lord in Holy Communion reciting an Act of Spiritual Communion is recommended. The Act below is my favorite!
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
