Dear Parishioners of Holy Trinity Catholic Church:
During this most unusual time with the whole world dealing with COVID-19, I write to seek your assistance during this pandemic. I ask that you pray for the end of the coronavirus and the recovery of good health to all those affected. This is an opportunity for all of us to grow deeper in our faith.
Our national and religious leaders have suggested significant changes in our daily lives, which includes suspending publicly celebrated Masses. The Archbishop of San Antonio, via a decree, has dispensed all Sunday Mass obligations to all Catholics in the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
Here at Holy Trinity, we have suspended all public weekend and weekday Masses. However, we are live streaming our daily Mass Monday-Friday at 8:30am on the Holy Trinity Facebook page. We are also live streaming two weekend Masses: 11:15am in English and 1:00pm in Spanish and uploading them to our website. All activities at Holy Trinity have been put on hold at this time.
Maybe you were one of the 10,400 people who worshiped with us online this past weekend. If so, I hope you were encouraged. And yet, we know uncertainty may lead to fear and anxiety, but as Paul reminds us, “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7).
There are a few things I want to share as we continue to keep our hearts centered on following Jesus. We are in this together as the body of Christ. You are not alone. We will continue communicating with our parishioners through the Holy Trinity website www.holytrinitysat.org and Facebook Page. You can talk to staff members in the main office at 210.497.4200 and the Faith Formation office at 210.497.4145. “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it” (Romans 12:26-27).
Holy Trinity has been a most generous parish throughout its existence since its founding in 1987 and not just in my recent ten (10) years as your pastor. We have taken extensive steps to limit all non-essential spending at the parish. This is necessary due to the significant reduction in the weekly offering and the uncertainty of the future. We will continue to care for our Holy Trinity family. If you’ve been giving regularly, thank you! Now more than ever your gifts are crucial for helping us to continue to provide for your spiritual well-being.
I am writing to you today to ask for your continued weekly financial support. Your generosity and financial support at any amount is greatly appreciated! There are two convenient ways you can donate.
1. Go to our website:
https://holytrinitysat.org/online-giving to donate. We accept credit card donations (Visa or Master Card) or your ACH donation.
2. Mail your offering to our office at 20523 Huebner Road, San Antonio, TX 78258.
